Mr Ryan was appointed to the TFGA Board in 2012.
He grows a variety of vegetables, and pyrethrum and poppies; and manages a successful cartage business on the north-west coast. He was an organising member of the Tasmanian Fair Dinkum Food Campaign in 2005.
Mr Johnston also announced the appointment of Gregoria Taylor, of Nile, to the TFGA Board.
